Chuck Lovallo: President & Chief Executive Officer
Chuck obtained his private pilot's license in 1997. After more than 20 years with Revenue Canada, it was the only way he could get away from his job. Since 1993 Chuck has held positions in every major operation of Revenue Canada, moving from Winnipeg to Ottawa and finally to Victoria where he assumed the position of Technology Manager for Vancouver, West Coast, and Yukon.
Chuck retired in July 2006 to take on the position of President of Innovations Solutions Now, and Opportunity Inventors Inc., both research and development companies operating out of Sidney B.C.
"It was my son who became the inspiration for Angel Flight. When he was 16 years old, he was diagnosed with leukemia. Since we were living in Victoria, we spent a considerable amount of time making the long, exhausting commute to Vancouver for treatment. Through research on the Internet, I discovered Angel Flight operations in the USA but none in Canada - hence my dream was born to organize and operate an Angel Flight organization on Vancouver Island as a way of giving something back to the community and of offering a viable and convenient alternative to the arduous ferry trips".
Chucks dream of creating Angel Flight of Vancouver Island became a reality on March 22, 2001.
Chuck and his wife Katie live in Victoria.
